"The Square of Free Speech" has become "The Theater of Algorithmic Judgment."
Registration Equals Account Suspension? The X Platform is Stifling New Users' Breath#
I just registered an X (formerly Twitter) account, posted nothing, did nothing, only verified my email and set an avatar, and in less than half an hour, my account was suspended.
Not only that, but I registered several different accounts in succession—all met the same fate. Even more infuriating is that:
- The platform did not clearly state the reason for the violation
- The appeal system is practically non-existent: I sent countless requests with no response
- IPs and devices may be automatically blacklisted, and even compliant accounts can be suspended instantly
What kind of user experience is this? Before we even participate in a community, are we automatically deemed "potential criminals"? This is not a technical issue, but a failure of platform philosophy.
Elon Musk: You Are Not the Guardian of Free Speech, But Its Gravedigger#
Elon Musk once shouted "Rebuild Free Speech" during the acquisition of Twitter, but what we see today on the X platform is filled with:
- Algorithms of blocking, limiting, and censorship in a black box
- An "appeal" mechanism with no one responding
- Features only available to paying or "verified users"
Musk has turned a public opinion space into a personal laboratory, a playground to test his personal ideology.
He claims to be "against censorship," yet has established a more refined and invisible censorship system.
The Future of the X Platform: Devoured by Centralization and Manipulation#
Decentralized communities must seriously consider one question:
Why are we still giving our voices to a centralized platform that can "delete our existence" at any time?
You may have never spoken out, perhaps only followed some accounts, or done nothing at all—you will still be banned, monitored, silenced. Worse yet, you may not even know why.
What we pursue in the vision of Web3 is:
- Self-sovereign identity
- Data ownership
- Speech not subject to arbitrary suppression by the platform
But the existence of X is exactly the opposite—it is replaying the story of Facebook and Google, even more ostentatiously and arrogantly.
Suggestions and Calls: Build Our Voice Network#
We no longer need such platforms. Decentralized networks are rising, and Web3 gives us the opportunity to choose and act:
- Support decentralized social platforms like Mastodon, Farcaster, Lens Protocol
- Use ENS, wallets, IPFS to store your content, without relying on any single company
- Establish a reputation chain for content, rather than letting Musk's AI censorship system decide who can speak
X is a Symbol of Failure, Not an Entrance to the Future#
X (Twitter) is no longer a tool for connecting the world; it has become a highly centralized, emotionally managed platform. Elon Musk once said, "I may make mistakes, but at least I am trying to improve the platform." However, what we see is an increasingly closed, unpredictable, and authoritarian social experiment.
The X platform should be nailed to the pillar of shame for internet freedom.
